Cozy, open-concept loft in Historic Downtown Bristol VA/TN. Yep, 2 states-one state of mind! We are located in a Border Town -VA/TN, and this loft overlooks the public library and Blackbird Bakery. Come rest, relax & renew, then discover our great Downtown. Our loft is smartly appointed - just bring a change of clothes and explore our Twin Cites! Downtown Bristol is a vibrant place with lots of local restaurants, craft breweries, coffee shops, music venues & shopping. Come let us pamper YOU!
The space
During the warmer weather, there are usually several live music events, so there is a potential for noise. However, there is a city ordinance that all music must end at 11 pm.
This building is over 100 years old, and we have beautifully restored it. You will find lots of charm with a modern flair! We have preserved the original brick walls in the loft. We have very high cleaning standards, but you may find naturally occurring brick dust occasionally. In the loft, you will find exposed beams in the ceiling and lots of character throughout the loft.

Getting around
Our Downtown is very walkable. The loft is located in the heart of Downtown Bristol. If you have your own vehicle, we have a dedicated parking space during your stay. There is also Uber/Lyft service. There are rental cars available at the Airport, and there is limited bus transportation Downtown.

Perfect. Space was great and had so many thoughtful extras we felt more at home than we expected. Location is stellar. So much in walking distance. Instructions are super clear with lots of visuals to help guide you. Would def stay there again and would be disappointed if I had to stay somewhere else.

The host really make you feel at home and are very good at making sure the guest are well informed about the area and extremely responsive. I cannot express how wonderful this stay was. The location was fantastic with so many things to do within walking distance and beyond. We arrived to Frank Sinatra playing it created such a romantic ambience for a weekend getaway. We loved the lighting, and all the extra details.

Karen’s place is the epitome of how every Airbnb should run. The loft was impeccable. Karen thought of every possible need. The house is decorated so perfectly . I felt right at home immediately. Karen provided excellent instructions and was always responsive. This is the place you want to stay when you are in Bristol! The bed was very comfortable. The shower water was hot and plentiful . The music playing when I came in the door was such a delightful treat. I cannot compliment this place highly enough. Thank you Karen for a wonderful and much needed get away.

This is one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever had and definitely the best urban one. The place is gorgeous and Karen is so nice and gave such helpful tips. Walking in late at night to the warm glow of lamps and Sinatra quietly in the background set the tone for our amazing stay. Karen thinks of things I didn’t even know I would need, from to go coffee cups to umbrellas. We had a great date night with duckpin bowling, dinner, and an escape room all within a few blocks from the loft. Would stay again and this 5+ star place. Thanks a million, Karen!

This loft was a delight. It was beautifully appointed, welcoming, and literally every single little “extra” one could wish for was already anticipated. Karen has an uncanny knack at being a perfect host.
She sent us a message on our first morning, suggesting nearby locally owned places for breakfast. We loved Southern Craft’s food! We also loved listening to live music across the street. And the general “central-ness” of the location of the loft.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Live Like a Local Loft, it was exactly as it was described! Really convenient to wonderful restaurants, bars and shops and directly above an ice cream shop! Everything in the unit was well thought-out; they have really got everything covered! No matter if you forgot to pack something or come back starving, you're covered! Would definitely stay again.

Very well done property, extremely professional hosts, awesome location in town. Great communication and every need was anticipated (coffee/creamer, restaurant recommendations, toiletries in case you forgot yours, first aid, umbrella, etc). And parking was easy (appreciated). When we first walked in, the lights were all on and soft music was playing. It's that kind of place... THAT kind of place.

The soothing music playing when we got there to all of the little perfect touches like, toiletries, snacks, ideas for entertainment and suggestions for places to eat!
